Back
D-ring pulldowns - wide grip
3 warm up sets - higher end reps scale - getting as much blood in the area and also getting the mind muscle connection firing
1 working set - to failure then did one rest pause -
BB bent over rows
2 feeler sets - pyramiding the weight up
1 working set to failure - dragged the bar up my quads, focusing on contraction
low pulley rows
2 feel sets
1 working set plus one rest pause
Kettlebell deads
2 working sets - tension kept on the lower back at all times with a constant flow from mid shine to just before lock out at the top

Nearly every person I see in the gym doesn't train hard, they don't take themselves to a point were true failure is upon them. Most stop at the crucial moment and say "that was a hard set" but these simpletons never grow any bigger. They come up to me and ask me many questions but they go away and don't implement anything I say but they really think they are training hard. Maybe if your not growing you need to put your body under further intensity and load to grow bigger. The ones who train hard and take the bodies to a place what forces it to grow bigger and larger to cope with the strain its under are the ones who are the biggest fukers in there. If your going to train for size and your not growing your doing something wrong I still see guys who ive known for over 10 years still battling to look like they go to the fuking gym for pity sake

Well, no elbow pain or shoulder pain right now. Not sure if it was the bar position during squats although I did go a tad wider with my grip and kept the elbows back a tad more. Feeling really good from the massage, just a tad sore, but in a good way. I rolled my neck and it set off a string of loud pops that the wife heard 2 rooms away.
Think back will be coming up tonight before work. There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

I did back yesterday, pullback rhythm. Ended 2016 in high gear, which helped me cope with the psychological stress I am having, one of my gym buddies was even asking me what I was on, and surprised to hear I was off cycle since september.
The new years break and the wife flu took a tool on me, and so now need to start slower.
Pullups 3 sets - last set only managed 9
High row machine - 2 feelers, 1 working with one drop
Row machine unilateral 3 sets - concentrated on form as couldnt up the intensity
BB row undergrip - concentrated on form as couldnt up the intensity
Deadlift machine shrugs - a few sets till traps pumped
DB shrugs, db in front of quads, few sets to finnish off.
Back and traps are slightly sored and pumped today, trying to decide if going to do a bit of calves and legs today, or if I just rest and do some cardio.

Morning gents.. last day on the job yesterday and went out with some people afterward so didn't get in there for back/bis as planned. Meal 1 down, need to swing through the DMW and renew the license then to the sanctuary for the session. Food, family and football today.

Marcus, so happy to see you back, so happy to have adopted the HIT way of life. I would like to say one thing about your statement, because my mind is in a weird state right now because of just this.
If a person is not training hard, then I fully understand where you are coming from. But there are legitimate guys like myself, who have dedicated themselves for years and get that question that sickens us & makes us question what we are doing, the question being "do you work out?"
Where I'm working out, and this is not b.s., and this is meant as no disrespect to any of you here - we have close to a dozen guys that are bigger & more muscular than any picture I've seen here on the forum. I've been there for a year now, and if their workouts are any indication of their dedication/physiques then something is definitely amiss.
I watched a guy prepare & train for classic physique at this years Mr. Olympia (he had competed at the 202 weight and I believe 212, in prior years), what uninspired workouts, let me tell you.
With the greatest of respect to you Marcus: if someone isn't putting in the effort, then fu*k em, they don't deserve the time, but if there is a chance they are really trying, give them a break big fella
So nice to see you Marcus, I'm a true believer in HIT, because of you.
Drinking my coffee now & going to do biceps later this morning. And let me tell you, very few at that gym rips into their biceps like I do.

So true... having that string and stabilized low back muscles are crucial, otherwise one would have a very hard time keeping marching the lower back(and popping your Chest simultaneously) will activate the lats the best way(+!internally rotating the elbows helps, as well!)!!!
Truly.... there's no other way!!!

Good back session. Bicep training was a bit annoying. Wee niggle in right forearm that doesn't allow for full extension on the negative. Got a good pump though. No cardio today. I've got chops out, a steak, and marinating chicken skewers for tonight. Hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

Regretably, he placed out of the top 10 this year so he wasn't "that" good . (Great guy though, very nice & approachable). Just going by pics Kel, seeing and standing next to someone is something else. I meant no disrespect to anyone here, you guys have been my inspiration over the past 15 months & you personally (as well as Marcus & everyone here) have helped me on many occasions, I hope you know how much I respect you all. My point was that it is a disgusting & sickening feeling when asked "Do you work out" when you are putting in the work - particularly when it's a big guy that all you want to do is look just like him.

No disrespect taken. I've met guys in person that have made me feel like I don't workout (bastards)! Frustrating but motivational at the same time, for me anyway. Yet there's a give and take to this. Some are phenominal but they have nothing to fall back on, career, benefits, etc. When their income from BB'ing is over they've got problems. Some realize it, some think the dream will last forever but are sorely mistaken.
The majority of us here seem to be realists and see what we do for what it it. A way of life, a passion, a hobby. A driving force within us to be sure. But it will never put food on the table or otherwise support us. Always be thankful for our health, stable careers, the ability to feed your family and live in a secure environment. And if we can build some muscle along the way it's a big plus!

Just woke up to eat some grilled chicken, small potato, and some steamed leeks. Feeling good, but going to grab some more sleep, and snag a back session (pull back).

Clarky, looking great buddy.
Kel, great words, but for some reason I'm not finding a connection with my point -will send pm, not going to take up more of everyone's time. Again, weird frame of mind, got too verbose (E2 is in check btw).
Preachers: 2 ws
Standing, low cable rows: 1 ws w/dd
Reverse curls: 1 ws w/dd
Single arm machine curls: positive, positive assist, then negatives to fail
Alternate wrist flex/ext: 3 x 15 --> 10
Guessing their out of action for about 5-6 days.

Wife went to fetch a grilled chicken nearby, she eats a wing, I eat the rest, seems a fair share
Legs earlier, or what I could do of legs as my right quad is still not good
Adductor machine - If my quads cant grow maybe I can get some size on the adductors lol - 4 sets, full rack 15-20 reps, it gets painful
calf raises machine - 3 feelers, 1 working to failure 3 drops plus partials
seated calves - 3 sets
laying down leg curl - 2 feelers, 1 working with 1 drop
stiff leg dead lift - worked in with one mate who was doing, 3 sets, hand was hurting from yesterday back so I just focused on slow movement and extra reps
Leg press - FAILURE, pain in quad, gave up after a warmup
quad extensions unilateral - no pain here, 3 feelers, 2 working, last with 2 drops till pain in quad was unbearable. Quad muscle was failing by the end, tried to compensate on extensions

Good news is Monday is leg day. Bad news I hurt my lower back sliding on 1/2 inch ice 1/8 snow this morning. It was fast as hell though. Hoping to be straight Monday. If not Monday will be shoulder day.
