Just wrapped up another busy shift. Headed home to eat, sleep, and have a go at the chest muscles tonight.

kel, when you do chest, do you warm up your shoulders and rotator cuffs first, or do them first to warm up? my left shoulder is bothersome (i think it is my AC joint).
today i did chest first and seemed to aggravate whatever is going on with my shoulder. i think you have mentioned something like this before (could be wrong)

First off there was no insulting disrespect or anything... if anyone read this whole thread they would realize how passionate Everyone is about helping one another! We've always asked and repeated 'are you training hard enough?!?!
People think they hit failure(including myself depending on ones mindset) - and just doesn't happen sometimes the way you want to do it! Justvmy .02Last edited by NACH3; 01-09-2017 at 01:55 PM.

Smashed back today.
Started with hammerstrength lat pull downs weighted to get the blood flowing for warm up.
Then onto seated rows slow heavy and hard the blood wss exploding into the muscles.
Then bent over db rows slow and heavy dd and the pain was intense.
Bent over bb rows. Same as above.
Then yates style close grip lat pull downs. Was insane
Then heavy hypers to finish felt great

No ma'am I've never been afraid of that as long as it is mine. Sorry, GGR, my bad, my mind naturally goes straight to the gutter.
All jokes aside, I generally do 10-15 minutes of light stretching to get the blood moving. Also, I am still carrying a bit too much bf (I'm between 6'1" and 6'2" tall and my weight varies between 277-285 lbs for the past few months), so I generate heat fairly easily. Add in naturally thick blood, working out in my sweats and I'm soaked even when the temps get down in the teens. There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

All right, lady and gents. Time for me to get my @ss in bed if I'm going to make it to the shop tonight.
Saw this little ecard and thought it would make a good logo for a T shirt. There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

I do the same, Kel.... every upper body day.... I'll keep a 5lb plate w/me, too..... on really bad days(except for delts)
I'm thinking I'll need a day off after delts though b/c I am pressing Again using rev hammer strength plate loading machine.... I've realized if I use a slightly shorter ROM... but on bottom part of lift I'll really let the weight stretch
Out my pec/delt tie in!

The goal is to get as much blood in it as possible and to pre-fatigue the target muscle. Then, when you get to your compound move (presses) you won't need as much weight for the same effect. Also, you'll stand a better chance of having the actual delt fail first as opposed to your triceps. Any trick to work around an injury or prevent it from getting worse.

Hey Cape,
My last w/o was a shoulder pre-exhaust...... a page back! Gives you an idea(as I was really concentrating on building my rear delts up... I'll switch it around each wk(exercises) but I'll always press last... same effect with less weight and risk of injury goes down! Give it a go!

Probably the problem. I loved seeing 315 on military presses on the third set on shoulder day back in the day. Then follow up with dumbbell presses before laterals. That and my left ball of the shoulder tends to try to leave the socket and the chrio has to reseat it every 3-4 weeks.
