Well..... My legs are fvcked. 405 was EASY today.....
Near the end of the workout I was greeted by an IFBB judge and supplement exec. He said I have an outstanding shape and is expecting me to do well. He offered to help me with posing also. That was a nice confidence boost :-)

Funny story.....
I finish squats and goto the hack squat sled. I load it up and do my first set. When I got done I felt some gas building up. I put two more plates on and contemplated going to the bathroom. I looked around and the gym was fairly empty. There were maybe 20 people there and it's a huge gym. The closest guy was in the squat rack about 30 feet away.
At this time the gas had mysteriously disappeared. So I get on the sled and start my set. At about rep 5 I ripped the loudest fart. It echo'd lmao. I just kept going haha

Is there a day it's not easy? Oh, and just wait till the exec gets you posing then offers to oil you up. That's how it'll start....
Vertical Leg Press gets me like that. Think it's a hot air rises kinda thing. Hurts too under all that pressure.

Chest tonight after a long day of doc apts.
Started at 930am not home until almost 4pm. Everyone had an apt lol.
Chest
Pec/Dec slow and holding reps
Incline dB flies. Held each rep for minimum 3 secs. Would say dB heads lower then delts. Dropped 2 timws.
Incline press (amazing how much the first movement took so much out of me....picked a weight for first set only got 4 reps.) Dropped it 5# and was getting 8/6 reps next two sets. Inside head of dB touching outer Pec and holding as long as I could. One drop.
Flat dB flies same thing. Only 2 sets and one drop.
Finished with one arm leaning dB fly.
Felt great.

Now cardio apt and need advise and a what would u do type of question.
So start with cardio.
He was very happy.
Start off with 110/60 bp. Best ever been. Keeps getting better every visit and he was very happy with all my blood work.
So I wanted to ask him something about what my GP told me to do yesterday. (The bad news I was mentioning).
GP told me yesterday just to get the surgery soon. For a couple reasons:
1: I'm young and good health so means recovery would be easier. And maybe less time.
2: just had my boy, and when he gets older I want to be able to run around and play sports or whatever and not worrying about if it will reuptor at any point. Or recovering in a hospital when I should be with him.
3: not being suprised and it rupture when I'm not expecting.
GP meant soon as in next year maybe two. Before I'm 40.
My next step is CAT scan with contrast. ...rhen from there I'm probably going to make a trip to the top surgeon in the state bout 3 hrs away.
My plan is to ask him how long does he think it will hold before surgery is needed.
From therw....if he says 30 years could be. Do I put it off until I get closer and my son is old enoufh.. .or do I do it now? Keeping in mind very serious surgery and anything can happen.
Thank you guys for listening to this.

I would have to hear the cardiologist's input before I would be able to make a decision, but if I'm understanding the condition correctly, there's no guarantees about predicting when/if it could rupture.
I would wait until I at least had the more accurate contrast and see exactly how enlarged the area in question is vs. the benchmark that determines surgery is required.
If you meet the criteria that says you need surgery, I would have it done sooner rather than later because you are still fairly young and you defo want to be around for your family.
Try not to beat yourself up pondering on this until you get all of the information. It will only stress you more thinking about the "what its".
Just my thoughts, Sfla. There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

Thanks Ag.
I think I'm OK with this so far. Scared but ok.
Had a panic attack when gp told me to get it done now. I trust him but again like u said he's not a cardio.
Cardio said see what surgeon says.
6months ago it was measured at 4.4cm.
A typical aorta is 2-3cm.
Surgery is warranted at 5cm.
For me now it's how long do they forsee it getting to 5.

I guess now we have to wait and see what the contrast reveals (if there is any increase or if the contrast shows that it isn't as enlarged as originally thought) and also get the surgeon's input.
I know this stuff screws with your nerves. If it didn't then I would be worried about you.Last edited by almostgone; 12-09-2015 at 07:21 PM.

Really wasn't feeling motivated about lifting tonight, but once the endorphins starting flowing it got better. Haz's post about having Ian stripping off plates during hacks made me decide to do the same as best as I can lifting alone.
BTW, legs are defo trashed. My intensity level.kept increasing up for some reason so I kept moving about the whole time. Pretty much just stagger from one lift to the next.
Crunches-2 sets.
Leg ext. - 2 w/u, Work-14+,drop,5+,drop,5+ w/ a long 10 count hold on last partial.
Hacks- 1 w/u, Work1- 6-3-3. Jumped off the machine, dropped a plate per side, flopped back into the machine and Work2- 6+ reps.
Reverse hacks- Work-9-4-3.
Seated calf raises- Work-18+,drop,6+,drop,8+
Standing calf raises- Work-12+ - 4+ - 3+
Leg press- 1 w/u, Work-9-4-3.
Leg curls- Work-14,drop,5+,drop,3+. Long hold on last partial.
36 minutes not including crunches. Totally burnt right now. There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

Sfla I agree man you need more info and consider all variables, and there will probably be many.
Can really say anything more than what AG said.

Thanks, Haz. Still trying to slowly get stronger on the hacks w/o making the knee worse and maybe the extra work will slow down the increases in my working weight on reverse hacks. LOL, had a brief gusher of a nose bleed on reverse hacks, but I ignored it and kept the reps going and it went away pretty fast.
I'm sure as soon as the really cool, dry air settles in my shop will look like a crime scene again. There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...
