Took a planned day off. Boxed/sparred instead for 8x3 minute rounds with one minute of active rest in between rounds.
I reckon I punched some of the soreness out of my chest from Monday's workout lol

Hello fella's ! Works killing me but still training, Im sick of the cutting/cardio shit, Ill still do cardio but cutting is killing me, it just not for me. So I put in a good row work out for back, tested my lower back deading, it a single 600 and feel great so Im back to normal. Shoulder got worst, Im thinking I may need to be like the big cvnt and just do no chest/shoulders for a while. BTW dont waste your money on tb-500. Sorry for not posting as much but time is limited and stress is high. Hopefully things will ease. Keep growing !

Morning to all!!!
Legs are just not going to work today and they are sore. Chest is still sore arms from yesterday isn't all that bad. But I do have a little doms setting in on them. Good Sh*t!! lol
Today is a rest day for sure. A planned one just going in and walking on treadmill and stretching some. Tomorrow might be the same if I am still this sore. I can tell for sure I have missed 2 weeks of training.
Hope everyone has a good day!!

Marcus and others.
Am I "supposed" to be able to perform two different exercises of the same body part in a session in your opinion? Sometimes I see guys posting how they do 2-3 exercises for a body part, and I just cannot make that happen.
For example, last night I did chest. Decline Barbell presses. Got 7 reps up and ended on the negative. I racked the weight off the supports and jumped back under and performed 2 extremely taxing rest paused reps and again ended with the negative.
After that I have nothing left. I tried. I tried my ass off to do some flat DB flies into presses, but all I could muster was 3 flies and 2.5 presses with...50s! I couldn't even fly or press my 80s a single rep.
I'm getting better and better at HIT and have learned a ton from the advice here, but as I said, I see guys doing 2-3 different exercises and I just cannot do it. I go all out on that one exercise and I'm nuked.

Can I suggest you flip flop the order of your exercises? Maybe flyes into presses and if you have any gas left use it on the b'bell press. Just a thought.
You may be one of those people that can put it all out in one exercise. They are few and far between, but I have known a couple of guys that could put everything into 1 all out working set for one exercise. The next time they hit that bodypart they would do the same with a different exercise.
Personally, I'm not capable of that, but there are a few. I think for most though, it isn't the ideal routine.Last edited by almostgone; 01-14-2016 at 09:17 AM. Reason: Ye olde typo

Not fully sure what you mean but you do more than one exercise for the body part your training, if I am training chest I would hit upper chest then do some mid range chest movements. How and what I perform is a different matter I may well due to my injury do pre exhaust into a press or a simple pre exhaust then move onto a press next movement. What I try and do is once warmed up and fully know what kind of weight I can handle I try my best to hit 1 working set but I do sometimes hit 2 it all depends how well I do and how I feel. I prefer going all out on one working set which may include drops, rest pause, forced and negs or a super set.
You got to play around with the exercises to see whats best to suit your style of HIT and which ones work better for you to train that whole bodypart to its limit.

I did some shoulders today and I tried my best to keep away from any pressing but I couldn't, I ended up doing some right at the end which did feel better with all the blood in my shoulders but I will judge if things are better tomorrow . Ive never tried tb500 but was thinking of doing it but thanks for the heads up.

Morning fellas,
I never got in yesterday :/ but I'm fueling! I'm gonna have to hit 2 BPs today and I'm thinking chest and delts with no pressing on delts(if I do it'll be Rev hammer strength)... Just hit side/& front laterals/rear delts/shrugs... Not my usual but have to make up a day...

Thanks for your comment, AG. I cannot do it for every body part. But with chest, it seems I can completely exhaust my chest with the barbell presses. Another body part is triceps
I thought about flipping the order of exercises, but would that be advised if it GREATLY reduced the weight I use on the presses? I'd venture to guess I wouldn't be pressing jack shit at that point.

Thanks for the reply, Marcus.
What I was trying to say was, I cannot do a second chest exercise after I do decline Barbell presses. I am able to completely murder my chest with that exercise and have nothing special left to do another chest exercise. I could do DB flies and presses, but the load would be greatly reduced and I wouldn't be using much weight at all. I'm sure I could find the working set rep range, but it isn't going to be heavy at all.
I am not at the level that I can do this for every body part, but when it comes to chest I cannot do a second heavy exercise.
Hope that makes sense.

It won't matter what the weight will be so long as your still staying inside that 6-12 rep range... If it's lighter weight no problem with that(if I do flys into presses I can't even start with near the weight i do on flys then presses it's the whole point of pre-exhausting your chest...
I'm having the same problem with tris(or opposite) I can do loads of weight and seems like more ex's with this BP(very strong for me) but lately I've been hitting them very hard!

Ah, but that would allow.you to work the chest from different angles and if it cuts your pressing weight down so be it. You would go to failure, yet that would give you room to work your way up in weight on your b'bell presses.
Again, it's just a thought and may not be feasible. You probably have to tinker around with your lifts to suit the equipment available and what works best for you. There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

Thanks for the reply, Nach.
I enjoy pre-exhausting every once in a while, and to be honest I appreciate you mentioning that the weight doesn't matter. I do tell myself at times to "work the muscle" I even say it out loud when the load is reduced due to fatigue.
I honestly feel I get the greatest, deepest, workout from the heavy decline presses. I want to keep them heavy. I don't know what it is, but I can really feel the exercise and it feels better and deeper than any other exercise with the exception of DB preacher curls for biceps being a close second.
