Thanks brother! I’m right in the middle of my blast and it’s beginning to show results. In fact, just had my “half way” pin about 15 min ago. Lol.

    Just finished shoulders:

3 sets lateral raises, super sets w/ 3 sets front raises with a plate

3 sets bent over flies super set w/ 3 sets one arm upright rows

    4 sets hammer strength press

Shoulders are toast. I seem to have to be very careful when training shoulders, as they grow easily. I can almost get away with chest and back exercises being enough but, nothing shapes the delts like some focused db work.

    Bi’s/tri’s:

    Bi’s

    5 sets straight bb curls

    4 sets incline db curls

    5 sets machine preacher curls

    4 sets db hammer curls

    Tri’s

4 sets rope push downs super set w/ 4 sets rope extensions

4 sets reverse grip push downs super set w/ 4 sets db kickbacks. Last set, dropped x3

Tri’s are beginning to give me some issues with elbows. Can’t really do anything over/behind head, like skull crushers or db extensions...both of which are my favorite tricep movement. Seems like I’ve pretty much been reduced to cable work for tri’s.

I switched to doing a lot of cable pull downs and hammer strength machines for tri’s my elbows just can’t handle the weight anymore. There is a really cool lateral bicep cool machine that I go around to the front of and turn it into a tri extension too. I’ll find a pic and post it

I got the idea from dexter jackson. I saw him doing it on YouTube with a similar machine. Dexter almost only uses machines now and he is still pretty big. I agree with him way easier on your joints and tendons

I must admit that the older I get the more I rely on machines, particularly the Smith machine. I bench and squat with the Smith machine almost exclusively now because of joint and safety issues. I’ve found that my form and ability to highly focus on a muscle group using the Smith vs. free weights is far and away better using the machine.

You just have to be careful using that machine I showed you to do tri extensions cause I have seen guys at the gym copy me and go to fail then it comes back and hits them in the head!!!

I just make sure my left arm is fully extended at the end of the lift step back and rack it. It’s pretty simple but like I said I watched dexter do it first so I kind of cheated

Just finished up the yard work. That’s about as bad as a good leg day! Just about got too hot. Cooling down so I can grill later. Lucked up and found two, 4-packs of NY strip steaks on sale for $5.50/lb. bought them both. Lunches for a week!
